Ogm rejected from 78% of the Italians

Rome - To the Italians the genetic organisms (Ogm) own do not go down. To certify it is the surveying of the Foundation Straight genetic from which it emerges that the acquaintance of the Ogm today joins the 2/3 of the Italians: (66% of the interviewed ones know what are, while in the 2000 percentage it did not catch up 40%. The surveying finds moreover a level of acquaintance more diffused in the feminine member of the champion and in the segments of population adults. In the subcampione of how many they identify the Ogm correctly, hardly 4% is declared favorable without impediments to theirs use in agriculture; 78% are clearly contrary, while 18%, although not adverse, demand guarantees on the absence of health hazards and for the atmosphere. Between the reasons of contrary, the fear of health hazards (65% is revealed prevailing). Nearly 90% do not declare available the purchase of alimony contains that them.
The majority of the Italian citizens is declared, on the whole, informed in alimentary matter. The made use medium piu' in feeding topic is the television, above all from the women, than entire surveying it reveals like the member of interested population piu' to the topics of quality of the food and the relationship between feeding and the health. The attention in matter offered from the average displeased however the citizens, that “they reject” the level of currently information on these arguments:, for 42% of the interviewed ones; insufficient for 24%. The deficit level of information, supports 75% of the interviewed ones, does not concur to choose in aware way also in topic of Ogm. In general terms 92% would want to receive more news on these topics, and in particular 76% declare that it would follow a television or wireless program on these arguments
